Everglades Knows the Power of Green Degrees

Join Everglades University in preparing for the emerging environmental needs and jobs in green-related fields. Our partnership with the U.S. Green Building Council (USGBC) positions us on the forefront of green energy job training that will be required in many industries. Everglades University has structured it’s curriculum to support education in; sustainability, alternative & renewable energy, alternative medicine & promoting wellness and building green. It’s no secret that the demand for environmentally focused jobs has increased in the past several years.

Just take a look at some of the initiatives that are being introduced in cities across our nation right now. For instance, the Mayor of New York recently launched a push to reduce the carbon footprint of New York City greenhouse emissions. And in Tampa, green actions have made an impact at attractions such as the Lowry Park Zoo, entire neighborhoods and other aspects of urban life. Since 2013, Tampa has become the second city to receive a Gold-Level Certified Green Local Government designation by the Florida Green Building Coalition. We offer a Bachelor of Science Degree in Alternative and Renewable Energy Management that can assist you in becoming a leader in many areas of green energy including solar, nuclear, wind, hydroelectric and more. Our Bachelor of Science Degree in Land and Energy Management can help you understand relevant topics such as land use, environmental justice and geographic information systems data analysis. Through our Bachelor of Science Degree in Environmental Policy and Management program, you can develop employable skills in U.S. environmental policy and management, justice and sustainability, energy policy, and other related areas.
